Deborah J. Barry, L.Ac., M.S.T.O.M., Dipl. OM
Deborah earned her bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Kansas. Not sure what she wanted to do career wise, she moved to St. Croix, USVI. While kayaking there, she sprained her wrist. It was after her first acupuncture treatment for wrist pain, that she saw the amazing and profound healing that can occur with acupuncture. She moved to San Diego, CA and started acupuncture school at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, now known as Pacific College of Health and Sciences, PCHS. She graduated from PCHS in 2004. She had a private practice for 16 years in San Diego. She completed the Worsley Classical 5 Element Acupuncture Program in Santa Monica, CA in 2005. She was a teaching assistant for PCHS from 2004-2006. Deborah is a Diplomate of Chinese Medicine from NCCAOM. She is board certified in both states of Hawaii and California. In addition to teaching and supervising Interns at Institute of Clinical Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, ICAOM, she maintains a private practice in Kailua, HI.
